Bernie Taupin was Elton John's first musical collaborator. This is a celebration of the songwriting talents of these two musicians, in which they discuss their lives, careers and musical development, and each other. The book has been published to tie in with an album, video and London Weekend Television programme. It's title reflects how the pair work together, Taupin writing the lyrics in one room and John setting them to music in another - often in a different continent. Many of their friends, as well as 16 other leading pop singers and musicians, including Cher, Sting, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan and Ray Charles, were interviewed and photographed for the book.
