There is a lot of concern with the fan not receiving enough power to cool effectively due to the voltage difference. But I just cut off the end of the cable and soldered it to the 12 volt points on the power board. Works great at full voltage, barely the slightest bit of warmth felt when gaming for several hours. Can't recommend enough as an upgrade for the old noisy fan! Was also packed very well, and came quickly with combined shipping from another store!
