It still has a faint smell. But the quality and the fabric is awesome. Got the package from Pakistan to Australia faster than I got a package that I brought from 45min away. Definitely recommend. Looks great, heavy kilt, exactly the right colour, and for alot cheaper over a wool kilt. I got a 38inch waist and found it to be a touch to big. Could've gone the 36 and wouldve been a good fit. So measure very tightly around your waist.
