Screws were not long enough to reach the anchors behinfd the stone facia. I used 3 inch screws. The 1" screws is best for wood and drywall up to 3/4". Sometimes the1"' is too short for stone surfaces & etc.and I am more than happy to make longer screws. The wet paint is the one that had me confused as to what happened and I finally figured what happened. I always use Rust-Oleum. Rust-Oleum has recently had shortage problems and I have had to purchase an alternative paint with a longer drying time. Thank you for not g
