I have tested with normal SD cards, Micro SD cards, as well as Memory Stick Pro Duo cards, which have all been read without a problem. A few points of note, this device is USB 2.0 and you can only have one card plugged in at a time for the computer to recognise, you can also not change cards while the reader is plugged in on the computer. For this price point I think it is a bargain, glad this comes in a pack of two, so I will always have a spare.
