Repressing. During an era of largely vacuous L.A. centered party rock, Portland, Oregon's Black N' Blue were a beacon in the dark. More heavily influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and European hard rock in general than their southern Californian cousins, their demos became hotly traded items in the early '80s, resulting in a worldwide deal with Geffen records and a debut album recorded in Germany with long time Scorpions/Accept associate Dieter Dierks producing.
