“The Train” featuring Burt Lancaster, Jeanne Moreau, and Paul Scofield is the story of an artwork that was stolen from a French museum in the 1940's. While the return of the property is scheduled, another plot is set into motion to steal the artwork again and take it into Germany. What ensues is a harrowing ordeal of murder and the taking of hostages. The black and white movie is based on a true story and full of drama and deception that took place during World War II when members of the French Resistance and German Nazi's were involved in many cases of artwork smuggling from France into Germany.
