He's 200lbs & the seat was rated at 300lbs. Mom rescued him & removed three shards of wood from his hip. I've included pics that show it wasn't the joins that failed, but the actual shelf that shattered. Pic 3 shows a large shard Mom removed from his hip. The seller probably had no idea the wood was so brittle. It's disappointing. I'm out the money & still need a shower seat for Dad.
