That’s what I did and it worked very well, I imagine a heat gun would work as well and would probably have been quicker. Also the adhesive couldve been a little better imo

The replacement came in the same timely fashion and I could tell they put extra padding in the package this time. The part came in perfect condition and it fit as described.
