Gottfried von Straßburg paart dabei in über 20.000 Versen >moderne< Gegenentwürfe zur klassischen Artusepik mit philosophischen Einschüben zu Literatur, Liebe und Gesellschaft. Der konfliktreiche irische Sagenstoff wurde vielfach bearbeitet und adaptiert, so etwa in Richard Wagners Oper »Tristan und Isolde«. Die hier vorliegende Ausgabe enthält die bewährte Edition des mittelhochdeutschen Textes und Übersetzung ins Neuhochdeutsche von Rüdiger Krohn.

Glad to see the item arrived in the end, but very great customer service! The product is in great condition as described. Packaging was very basic for a book, with no padding around the book. The corners were slightly damaged as a result, but it's not the end of the world, as it was a good price.
