Truck bogies work as designed, but, with previous orders I was able to pop out the plastic wheels and replace them with Walthers 33" metal wheels with no problem. This shipment, HOWEVER, I need to ream out the holes before I can put the metal wheels in and have them roll freely. It took quite a bit of experimenting before I reached a satisfactory process.

However, be aware that the Evemodel metal wheelsets (33" or 36"), are designed for proper fit with minimal truck tuning, I use the Micro-Mark truck tuner on ALL engineering plastic trucks. Other brands of wheelsets I've upgraded about 27 Bargain Basement Train Show cars for the grand kids with splendid results. A good product and a good value. Highly recommended.
