It came vacuum packed, in tiny hard flat package but plumped up beautifully when the pack opened. It's interesting to knit socks as you see the colour changes develop. I like the real-wool smell, but find the yarn just a little coarser than anticipated - but I've been working with merino blends up to now. Overall I'm pleased, but the fibres are not quite as soft and silky as anticipated.
