The fan was indeed advertised as open-box. This was the option the website gave me. It's brand new, but it was certainly unboxed and in storage, which probably made it look used. Real images of the product were posted for the customer, and it was advertised at a very low price for the aforementioned reasons. It was packaged as compactly as possible to save you shipping costs. It was even tested to ensure it worked. I'm sorry your experience was negative .
