Product Information
Setting up the NetGear MR814 is easy using the web-based management system that comes with the router. The user can now connect to a local area network (LAN) via a DSL or cable modem using this NetGear router. This wireless router can also be used for networking with 802.11b Standards and allow a maximum of 253 computers or other devices, to connect without the use of any wires or cords. With a multitude of filtering options possible with this NetGear router, including restrictions based on address keywords, a particular time of the day, or website addresses, network administrators can also control what passes through the network. A firewall built-in the NetGear MR814, along with the Network Address Translation (NAT) technology adds another layer of protection against hackers. This wireless router offers a built-in 4-port switch, capable of delivering 10/100 Mbps.
