The perfectly portable Microsoft Wedge Mobile U6R-00001 wireless keyboard is designed for use with Windows 7 and Windows 8 tablets, but it also works with iPad and Android tablets. This wireless keyboard makes even the dullest task seem more enjoyable. The Microsoft Wedge wireless keyboard is ultra-thin and lightweight, which makes it compact enough to take on the go. The soft-touch keyset is full-sized and ergonomic, so you can type for extended periods of time. The keyboard also features built-in, easy to access media keys that work for music or video apps (previous, play/pause, and stop for instance), a Windows start key, and hotkeys that make it efficient to use and easy to control when used on a Windows tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. Accessories included with the Microsoft Wedge Mobile keyboard include a cover that doubles as a tablet stand. The soft-touch keyset makes typing a breeze, as only the lightest touch is needed for typing. The cover that doubles as a tablet stand is just one of the things that gives the Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard an ideal balance of form and function. It also features Bluetooth technology that eliminates the need for any cables or transceivers. The Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard is only 10.25 inches long and 4 inches deep, which makes it one of the smallest tablet keyboards around. The materials used for the keyboard are an aluminum base, plastic keys, and a rubber cover. It only weighs 1 pound, and that is with the two triple A batteries installed. When you put the rubber cover back on, the keyboard automatically shuts off, so you do not have to worry about wasting battery life when you are traveling. The battery tray is conveniently located on the bottom the keyboard. It is a simple process. You push the battery icon in and a tray slides out far enough to take out or put in your batteries. Happily, the tray does not slide all the way out, so you don’t have to worry about losing the battery tray. The keys are tapered with a 17.5mm key pitch, which is close to normal, full-sized, desktop keyboards. The function keys and the arrow keys are very small, but the fact that a tablet keyboard comes with a numpad as well as the QWERTY keyset is pretty amazing. That makes this keyboard ideal to use for gaming as well. The hotkeys are Windows 8 specific, and let you search or share, and look at devices and settings with just one button click. The Microsoft Wedge Mobile wireless keyboard with Bluetooth compatibility should be a part of everyone’s computer or tablet accessories.
