The Best of Times is indeed now! The classic American musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES returned to the Broadway stage in 2010 in high fashion, claiming three Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, in a production the Associated Press hailed as Riotously funny, emotionally affecting and more timely than ever! The songs ooze charm, romance and melodies that are impossible to get out of your head! Starring Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, Cheers) and Douglas Hodge, who took home a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as the irrepressible Zaza, LA CAGE features a Tony Award winning score by Jerry Herman (Hello, Dolly!, Mame) and a Tony Award winning book by Harvey Fierstein (Torch Song Trilogy, a Catered Affair). The original production was one of the biggest hits of the 1980s; now PS Classics has preserved this triumphant hit revival in a cast recording that showcases, among it's many delights, Hodge's definitive performance of I Am What I Am, acclaimed by the New York Times as the most electric interpretation of a song on Broadway right now.
