It’s best to test a crimp to see if your wire is crimped tight enough to not pull loose when you unplug the spark plug boot at the distributor. I discovered the tension adjustment just looking over the tool after a crimp that pulled off.

Then just came across him recently had to do plug wires on street car.,as he was making it. My luck found 2 more emailed him BAM no problem. Don't waste your $ buying new set.
