They are stamped on an original machine not engraved like some modern day ones so probably not what you were expecting. Unfortunately there was an error on one line, so returned for refund, which I've already received prior to the return. I didn't like the retro type set, found it hard to read. I'd still recommend this seller tho, some might like the originality of them, but not for me.
