Synopsis
Joe Starita tells the triumphant and moving story of a Lakota-Northern Cheyenne family. In 1878, the renowned Chief Dull Knife, who fought alongside Crazy Horse, escaped from forced relocation in Indian Territory and led followers on a desperate six-hundred-mile freedom flight back to their homeland. His son, George Dull Knife survived the Wounded Knee Massacre and later toured in Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show. Guy Dull Knife Sr. fought in World War I and took part in the Siege of Wounded Knee in 1973. Guy Dull Knife Jr. fought in Vietnam and is now an accomplished artist. Starita updates the Dull Knife family history in his new afterword for this Bison Books edition.

- r***h (113)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoReally happy with this purchase. Both items are in excellent new condition, as described. The packaging was very well done. They were in a nice compact box that fit the books just right and an inner waterproof wrap which i greatly appreciated because we have had a lot of rain lately & unfortunately our mailbox flops open. It was nice to have dry books! Packing slip included. Based on this transaction, i definitely recommend this conscientious seller. The Dragons of Blueland Book Set of 2 Guided Reading Group Ruth Stiles Gannett88 (N° 183752434750)
- a***m (118)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoThe books were packed with care and arrived early. I was very pleased with the price I paid for the items I received. The books looked even better in person than they did in the photo. Although these are used paperback books, the condition they are in is like new. Overall, I am happy with this order. The seller did a great job!
