Synopsis
The New Yorker was launched in 1925, and offers reporting, criticism, essays, fiction, poetry, humour, and cartoons. From the very outset, the founders, Harold Ross and Jane Grant, declared that their sophisticated magazine was 'not edited for the old lady in Dubuque'. The New Yorker has also offered great literature in short stories from such acclaimed writers as John Cheever, Roald Dahl, Alice Munro, Haruki Murakami, Vladimir Nabokov, J. D. Salinger, and Shirley Jackson. From the very first issue, the now iconic monocled dandy Eustace Tilley made The New Yorker's covers unique and pointed. These signature traits have continued right up to the present day in the striking and sometimes controversial covers from such artists as Peter Arno, William Steig, Saul Steinberg, Jean-Jacques Semp , and Art Spiegelman. Selected by Fran oise Mouly, 100 gorgeous, whimsical, provocative, unforgettable postcards, each featuring a signature cover of The New Yorker The New Yorker was launched in 1925, and at the very outset, founders Harold Ross and Jane Grant declared that their sophisticated magazine was "not edited for the old lady in Dubuque." - s***u (285)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoThis was supposed to be brand new, but as you see in the photos, it's clearly used. Shipping box was fine, so I know the seller packed it, knowing of the damage, and it not being new. Packing tape was used apparently to stop the case from falling apart more. Seller told me that that's how the factory seals them. I own hundreds of dvds, and have never received one like this. They are always sealed in plastic wrap. Avoid this seller!!!
- 1***f (635)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoMy order was delivered today and it was in good condition and it was well packaged and it was delivered within the projected timeframe. The DVD series is exactly as listed and the price was very good and the service was excellent.
- c***i (221)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoIt took a couple of days for the seller to ship the item, but they did a good job packaging the item and it was new in an open box, as the seller had it advertised as.85W 15- Apple MagSafe 2 Power Adapter MacBook Pro Retina inch Mid (N° 177251992377)
