Road Runner (Nintendo Entertainment System, 1989). New in box sealed, Smoke free home. Road Runner is a racing video game based on the Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner shorts. It was released in arcades by Atari Games in 1985. The player controls Road Runner, who is chased by Wile E. Coyote. In order to escape, Road Runner runs endlessly to the left. While avoiding Wile E. Coyote, the player must pick up bird seeds on the street, avoid obstacles like cars, and get through mazes. Most of the time Wile E. Coyote will just run after the Road Runner, but he occasionally uses tools like rockets, roller skates, and pogo sticks.

As Road Runner, your job is to avoid Wile E. Coyote and eat birdseed and drink lemonade while running down twisting roadways, long highways, and maze-like trails. You must also jump over cliffs and avoid boulders, oncoming trucks, cannon balls, sand traps, and other obstacles. Wile E. is not as fast as Road Runner when the two are in a foot race, but at times the relentless coyote will ride a rocket, a pogo stick, a helicopter, or jet skates in order to catch up with you. To defend yourself, you can try to get Wile E. crushed by<br>a truck, a falling boulder, or another obstacle. Both characters can gain an advantage over the other by picking up a can of invisible paint. Most of your time playing this game will be spent zipping around, trying to keep from making contact with your arch enemy, Wile E. Coyote. Unlike most horizontally scrolling games of this type, the action in Road Runner moves from right to left.
