Synopsis
"There are not so many books on statistical methods focused on genetic epidemiology. This contribution fills a gap with a good selection of topics presented in a concise format that will be useful for biostatisticians starting in the field and geneticists or epidemiologists that want to master the specialized statistics used in genetics." ISCB NEWS Covering the latest developments, this advanced textbook introduces the relevant statistical methods applied in this field. Provides a concise introduction to genetic fundamentals Explains both linkage analysis and association analysis in detail Features more than 100 problems and solutions Includes a foreword by Robert C. Elston, Director, Division of Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology at the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio Written by the prize-winning scientist Andreas Ziegler, President of the German Region of the International Biometric Society, and Inke Koenig, who contributes several years of teaching experience, this is an ideal text for all epidemiologists, geneticists, statistics specialists, biomathematicians, and graduate students., Covering the latest developments, this advanced textbook is the first to focus on introducing the relevant statistical methods applied in this field. Written by the prize-winning scientist Andreas Ziegler, President of the German Region of the International Biometric Society, and Inke Knig, who contributes more than five years of teaching experience, this is ideal for epidemiologists, geneticists, statistics specialists, biomathematicians, and graduate students. - i***n (924)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimo annoAcquisto verificatoI was back and forth on neutral or positive feedback. Seller does not respond to messages. Books dust jacket was in far worse condition than shown in the pictures could have been because how it was packaged. While it was shipped promptly, the package was a simple bubble mailer. For collectible books such as this, I’d expect it in a box. I ship books with media mail too and it doesn’t cost any more to use a box instead of plastic mailers. Book did arrive though and the pricing was reasonable.Fairyloot The Forest Grimm by Kathryn Purdie Exclusive Edition Digital Signature (N° 176931227352)
- 5***a (0)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoEverything came as promised and the books are in good condition. There was some issues with the tracking number, but they were good about communicating with me on it when I reached out. The second package showed up on my door step unexpectedly after 5PM that day. I would buy from this seller again.
