The 3-cuts help the balls stay on as opposed to the single longer cuts (those fall off as students DO NOT sit still in their chairs). I also recommend these used real tennis balls over the blue ones that others sell. Those are not as durable. I've had the real ones last over 5 years while blue ones are falling apart after a year.
