Dex (Donal Logue), an overweight slacker living in Santa Fe, excels at charming women. Set along the gorgeous desert landscapes of New Mexico, Goodman's film manages to echo its surroundings with its easy-going pace and attitude. In his first leading role, Logue is immediately likeable, portraying Dex as a surprisingly complex man with simple ideals. With its insightful look at the ups and downs of finding love, THE TAO OF STEVE is as endearing as its half-baked philosophy.
