It came with no marks or dents and has a paper cover that goes over the manga itself. It arrived way earlier than I had expected, a whole two weeks before the estimated arrival date. It is stated to be brand new, but there was no plastic wrap around the book, which normally should be there with new items. But the book isn't damaged and shows no signs of former use, so I don't mind. Overall a really good shopping experience, and I'd definitely recommend this seller.
