The boot came well packaged, but once unpackaged this item sat around in a store window for a long time. The clear plastic of the original package was starting to turn yellow. Once out of the pack the rubber bands that held the boot to the backing had welded themselves to the boot. I spent over an hour trying to remove the rubber bands. Luckily I was able to get them off without damage. When you see the word "surplus" ask a lot of questions.
