The added bonus is that the silver colour matches the alloy wheels and looks neat. The caps also has a seal to securely fit and provide some sealing from faulty valves by providing to time for the driver to reach the tyre shop. I will always use the standard plastic valves, and avoid metal valves as the thread oxidates onto the valve thread, thus impossible to remove. Highly recommended A+++
