The float was damaged before factory packaging, but I replaced it from the original pump as I needed the car running so didn’t contact the seller. Otherwise it was as described and shown and looked brand new, but was a third party item with a lighter motor than the original VW part. It works and the car is running good again.

But my fuel pump was listed in their compatible vehicles but it was completely wrong. They took days to answer my messages then said in so many words the engine prefix can't be relied on. I will not be sending it back as looking at previous neg feedbacks people haven't received their refund, plus I will have to pay return postage. If your part arrives wrong (to put it bluntly) you're stuffed.
