Use the handheld's touch-screen interface to hammer, chip, drill, and sweep away rocks to unearth an assortment of delicate fossils. The more careful you are with the fossil cleaning process, the more powerful the resulting creature will become in battle. Assemble individual body parts to build a fearsome fighter to challenge other vivosaurs. After each one-on-one fight, your vivosaur will earn experience and grow stronger over time. Use the system's wireless function to trade fossils or challenge your friends to creature-on-creature combat.

The game did not arrive on time, through no fault of the seller though (Canada Post had unfortunately damaged the packaging and the cartridge during the shipping process and sent it back to the seller). The seller was transparent, showed me the damage, and asked me if I still wanted it. I replied that I did, and he was kind enough to test that the game still worked and even filled in the damaged part of the cartridge!
