Check the pigtail that comes with the adapter carefully. The switched Positive lead on the pigtail, which is designed to power the radio when the ignition is switched on, was going to a pin on the factory connector that wasn’t powered at all. To correct for this, I simply ran a wire from the pigtail to a switched Positive source on the vehicle. Everything else about the 1-DIN adapter and the pigtail worked perfectly.
