As there seems to be some comments on how long this kettle takes, we have timed it. For 1 ltr just over 6 mins, and 500ml takes just over 3 mins. We have now got in the habit of just boiling 500ml and by the time teabag and coffee is sorted the water has boiled. Oohh A+++
