The low temp setting stops at 17 whereas the a/c itself allows you to go to 10 degrees. Otherwise, it works which is the best thing for me. I was not prepared to deep-six the a/c, I do take care of the machine. It took a bit of figuring to insert the batteries but that is the wonder of the internet, careful now.
