For a not unreasonable sum one can have by installing this product a soft opening tailgate that opens smoothly without slamming open. One may balk at the price but remember this is a factory designed, superior quality component. Buy once, cry once.

Installed easily by staking my time, leaning as I went and enjoying the project. HIGHLY recommend parts upgrade!!! No more gravity dropping / slamming of the tailgate of my new truck!!
