Reviews
Praise for Bridget Jones and Helen Fielding: "She's back!  Our favorite hapless heroine returns after a decade-plus hiatus, juggling two kids, potential boyfriends, smug marrieds, rogue gadgets, and her nascent Twitter feed." -- Vogue   "How can a reader not love this woman?" -- The New York Times Book Review "Bridget Jones is a joy and a comfort, and Helen Fielding is bloody great." -- Mademoiselle "One of the most enchanting heroines to ever overdraw her bank account." -- USA Today "Hilarious but poignant." -- The Washington Post "A brilliant comic creation. Even men will laugh." -- Salman Rushdie "Fielding . . . has rummaged all too knowingly through the bedrooms, closets, hearts, and minds of women everywhere." -- Glamour "Unforgettably droll." -- Newsweek "Bridget's voice is dead-on. . . . Will cause readers to drop the book, grope frantically for the phone, and read it out loud to their best girlfriends." -- The Philadelphia Inquirer "Fielding is a wonderful comic novelist." -- Time "Tells the truth with a verve as appealing to men on Mars as it is to Venusian women." -- Entertainment Weekly "Bridget Jones is channeling something so universal and (horrifyingly) familiar that readers will giggle and sigh with collective delight." -- Elle

Synopsis
A GoodReads Reader's Choice Bridget Jones--one of the most beloved characters in modern literature (v.g.)--is back! In Helen Fielding's wildly funny, hotly anticipated new novel, Bridget faces a few rather pressing questions:    What do you do when your girlfriend's sixtieth birthday party is the same day as your boyfriend's thirtieth? Is it better to die of Botox or die of loneliness because you're so wrinkly? Is it wrong to lie about your age when online dating? Is it morally wrong to have a blow-dry when one of your children has head lice? Is it normal to be too vain to put on your reading glasses when checking your toy boy for head lice? Does the Dalai Lama actually tweet or is it his assistant? Is it normal to get fewer followers the more you tweet? Is technology now the fifth element? Or is that wood? If you put lip plumper on your hands do you get plump hands? Is sleeping with someone after two dates and six weeks of texting the same as getting married after two meetings and six months of letter writing in Jane Austen's day? Pondering these and other modern dilemmas, Bridget Jones stumbles through the challenges of loss, single motherhood, tweeting, texting, technology, and rediscovering her sexuality in--Warning! Bad, outdated phrase approaching!--middle age. In a triumphant return after fourteen years of silence, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is timely, tender, touching, page-turning, witty, wise, outrageous, and bloody hilarious. Great price for this huge book. Shipping was delayed but not too unreasonable though the book could have been packed a bit better with some bubble wrap as it tore through the very thin mailer envelope. Would recommend seller to cushion heavy books better when using thin mailer envelopes to avoid the tearing and potentially loosing books. Book is as described! Satisfied with my purchase and would buy from again if packaging was more sturdy. Thank you :)

As described ,nice price, quickly shipped but not in a padded envelope, nor with a cardboard padding inside a regular envelope, so corners of book were free to be bumped in transit. They were not. The book looked good even with a tear at one corner of the envelope. Both the seller and the buyer were lucky.

High quality book arrived in good condition as described. The book's appearance is satisfactory. A great value! Shipping: Seller shipped promptly. But I received an eBay message saying: USPS made a delivery attempt but were unable to proceed due to an insufficient address. Huh? Also, shipping history said book was "Held at Post Office At Customer Request." I didn't request this to be done! Next day I went to my USPS office. They fished around & found package. My address was correct. Weird.
