Post manufacturing on a 3D printer, the sides have an inward concave curve to them. This prevents the speedloader from returning to its upmost position for introducing the next round for loading. The magazine spring is not strong enough to overcome the friction/resistance caused by the concave curve. You must manually the speedloader before inserting the next round.

Unfortunately , I couldn't fit either gear far enough onto the motor shaft to allow them to work properly. I had to buy someone else's gear, in order to fix my pencil sharpener. Still, I feel that they are a good eBay seller!
