Super soft, warm and comfy, NOT ITCHY at all, which i appreciate! I also like the neutral colors. Wool is the natural, sustainable and cruelty free, naturally wicking material that allows excess heat to escape, so you just have the right amount of warmth on your skin, without sweaty feet. This is impossible with polyester garments, which have a "crock pot liner" effect: they make one feel like we' "cooking in our own juice" feel.

Some elastic type thread at top of sock at band. I dried some in dryer before wear to tighten knit. See internet for care of alpaca socks. See internet for alpaca wash care. I washed and dried with oxyclean, came out fine. They don't shrink like wool.

I can't really comment on quality, since that can only be decided after a couple of cycles of wearing and washing, and I haven't had a chance to do that yet. But so far, I am glad I bought them.
