Sam suggested using the two display ports to Thunderbolt adapter to achieve 5k but it wasn't necessary. That method gives me dual 5k on my one monitor. Overkill. Now that the screen is attached I don't want to go back in and remove the $60 adapter and cables so it is what it is. Before sealing up, try a DP1.2 to thunderbolt cable first.
