I ordered a scope rail for a Howa 1500 Long Action, but received a rail for a Remington 700 Long Action. Furthermore, the rail I received is more or less a standard steel picatinny rail. The picture for the item has a nice ejection port cutout so it's easier to load your rifle. I contacted the seller about the rail problems and received no response. This item was shipped from Bulgaria, so returns are not accepted. He was very knowledgeable. He explained that the Rem 700 bases and Howa bases are now the same. Typically, 2-piece Rem 700 and Howa 1500 bases are interchangeable, but not 1-piece bases. I was skeptical, but agreed to try. He was right, the base does fit my Howa 1500 long action. I still would like the picture to match the mount, but none-the-less, it's a well-made item.
