It was for a birthday gift and I had allowed reasonable time to get the item. It was shipped 4 days after I ordered it and I did not hear anything from the seller that it would be shipped late and the box not prepared well. They give the seller a "ship by" date. Most of my items do ship a lot faster (1 business day, sometimes 2). The box it was shipped in is commonly called a "frakenstein box" used when there's an awkward sized item such as an oversized Lego set. It's a box cut to a different size to fit the item that does not use a more common box size. Sound like the item arrived in perfect condition. Fragile Items are shipped accordingly with utmost care
