Smallville: Season 9 is a four-disc set of this long-running drama and was released on DVD in September of 2010. Distributed by Warner Home Video, Smallville: Season 9 is loosely based on the story and characters of the Superman comic book series. The main characters of this drama are Clark Kent (played by Tom Welling), Chloe (played by Allison Mack), Lois Lane (played by Erica Durance), and Tess (played by Cassidy Freeman). The Kryptonites such as Major Zod (played by Callum Blue) are trying to gain control of Earth and Clark, Chloe, and Lois band together to try to stop the invasion and save Smallville. Tess, the new head of LuthorCorp is going to the dark side by joining the Checkmate Society and she presents opposition for the fight against good.
