With tax, the wire cost about 18 cents per foot for 100 feet of wire.The reel has 50 feet of red wire, and 50 feet of black wire. These are seperate wires wound on the same reel as pictured in the item description. The reel was shrink wrapped and packaged in a small cardboard box, which was inside a waterproof shipping envelope. Wire is flexible and looks to be well made.
