The item in came wrapped in 12ish boxes of various shapes, sizes, and integrity, were mish-mashed together in about 4 layers of tape around the whole box, and in the layers of boxes. And regarding shipping: My wife is an artist/ professional art handler, so my pack jobs aren't always the prettiest, but I use the techniques the professionals use to ensure safe travel. Ebay aslo offers 50% off of shipping, so the one time I looked into professional packing/ shipping I was quoted $430 for a similar sized mirror.
