I had to pay import VAT twice for the item because the seller didn't bother use the information from Ebay, that they allready had charged the import VAT, when he shipped. (That was more or les what he wrote when I contacted him for an explanation). I do not follow what each country charges for VAT/customs, if anything. If you want to pay VAT through eBay, use the Global Shipping program where it is integrated. Buyer still got record for less than retail after allegedly paying double VAT and postage.
