Product Information

Anthony Trollope has had many of his works brought to life on the screen, but few have been rendered with such grace and charm as HE KNEW HE WAS RIGHT. Married life doesn't quite pan out as Louis (Oliver Dimsdale) and Emily Trevelyan (Laura Fraser) planned when they find themselves besieged by interfering--not to mention amorous--friends and relatives. In particular, Emily has to fend off some unwanted attention from potential suitor Colonel Osborne (Bill Nighy), leading to town gossip, and jealousy on the part of her husband. The events build to an explosive climax, with director Tom Vaughan expertly guiding the plot to a satisfying conclusion, and the cast delivering some touching performances.
