It's an aluminum part that was in a very thin plastic package, so it resulted in small nicks from being banged around in transit. Hopefully the small nicks don't cause premature wear to the belt that will be riding on the groves of this part.

I very much appreciate this seller for having this item for sale, as these parts are no longer available through Sears. My only slight disappointment is that the items were not protected for shipping and arrived in a shrink-wrapped bundle with no protective packing materials or box. Nothing appears to be broken, but given how carelessly shipping companies handle packages, they were likely banged around quite a bit.
