I used it as a swager to crimp aluminum ferrules onto steel wire ropes for an electric lift, and I think it worked good for that. The only thing odd about it is the on-off dial. When the dial is set to "on" it is off (that is: the hydraulic pressure is released) and when set to "off" it is really on (it builds pressure to crimp the fitting). That is confusing at first.
