I did replace the cork but I would've done that anyway since I prefer natural cork to agglomerated ones. I got it to hold loose-leaf tea and it's perfect; it holds 2+oz. and the wide mouth made it easy to fill and spoon the tea out. The bottom is nice and flat so I can put my "use-by" sticker on there. I got a great deal on it and I'm really happy with the whole experience!
