Mine has 1/2" rod , 1st time I ordered 3/8" . Lesson learned. Socket assembly as advertised , fast shipping, well packaged, parts worked out perfect. Thanks

It has a "push-in terminals with strain relief hooks" so you can't attach flexible stranded wire. I was able to return the item with no problem.
