The wrestling takes place from a third-person view inside the ring, as an energetic crowd cheers on the acrobatic action. The crowd plays an important role in the match, as wrestlers that taunt their opponents or flirt with female fans can increase their popularity, represented by a meter. Increased popularity allows wrestlers to perform special and super moves for more powerful attacks. Further setting the game apart from traditional wrestling titles are the mask and hair matches, where the loser must reveal his face or shave off his locks.
