Vanessa at the music store was super helpful and prompt about calling to respond to messages when addressing this. We ordered a Yamaha 3/4 violin and it came very well packaged and as described. Being a large, cumbersome item (a cello in a burly plastic case), it was packaged interestingly but satisfactorily, and arrived unscathed. I felt the shipping cost (~$30) was totally reasonable for such a huge box. It's always risky buying an instrument online without trying it in person, but I feel the seller's photos and description provided a pretty accurate representation of the product, and I am really pleased with my purchase!
